If a video or other media isn’t working, please try the steps below, these steps can help for:
- A video that won’t load
- A Video That’s Blank
- A grey box shows instead of the video
- Your browser freezes or crashes while loading the video
Allow Flash on the Site
Look for an error that says 'Click to enable Adobe Flash Player' or a message about downloading Flash. If you see these errors, the site needs permission to use Flash.
Step 1: On your computer, open Chrome. Go to the www.HayHouseU.com
Step 2: To the left of the web address, click Lock or Info
Step 3: To the right of 'Flash', click the Arrows
Step 4: Choose Always allow on this site.
Step 5: At the top left, click Reload
Clear Your Cache And Cookies
Step 1: At the top right, click Moreand then More tools and then Clear browsing data.
Step 2: In the box that appears, at the top, choose a time such as the past hour or the past day. To delete everything, select the beginning of time.
Step 3: Select Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data. Deselect any other types of information that you don't want to remove.
Step 4: Click Clear browsing data.
Check Your Extensions
Some video or game issues are caused by Chrome extensions, plug-ins
Step 1: On your computer, open Chrome.
Step 2: At the top right, click MoreNew Incognito Window
Step 3: In the Incognito window, return to the site to view the video
If The Video Doesn't Work
Step 1: On your computer, open Chrome.
Step 2: At the top right, click More Settings.
Step 3: Under the section 'Reset', click Reset.
Step 4: Confirm by clicking Reset.
Step 5: Go back to the site with the video or game. At the top left, click Reload .
If The Video Works
Step 1: Close the Incognito window, and go back to a normal Chrome window.
Step 2: Click More More tools Extensions.
Step 3: Turn off all of your extensions.
Step 4: Go to the site with the video or game. At the top left, click Reload
If the video works with your extensions turned off you will need to test each extension individually to identify the extension that is causing the problem
Update Chrome
Videos and games sometimes need the latest version of Chrome.
Step 1: On your computer, open Chrome.
Step 2: At the top right, click More
Step 3: Click Update Google Chrome. If you don't see this button, you're on the latest version.
Step 4: Click Relaunch.
Step 5: Go back to the site with the video or game. At the top left, click Reload
